Student Centre

University of Winchester

Interior design lead - Design Engine Architects - 2008

The £6.5m University of Winchester Student Centre was an important project for Design Engine, setting the scene for further projects to follow on the campus. I was asked to develop proposals for the building’s interiors.

Spaces included the reception, food hall venue, restaurant, internet café, bookshop boardroom and offices in the upper part of the section.

Dug deep into the slope, the student union accommodation occupies the lower part of the section and included a multi use venue, games rooms, bars and a shop.

We were able to theme the different spaces, applying a different character to the varied uses. The project included way finding, graphics and furniture selection.
