Project & design lead - Design Engine Architects - 2010

The project involved replacement of the reception desk and fittings, within the existing swimming pool building on the campus.

The building needed to remain operational and accessible during the refit, so the new furnishings and components were fabricated off site to minimise disruption.

A robust corium finish was employed for the desk front, with integral task lighting. This was conceived as a sculptural installation, to pick up reflected light from the pool opposite.

A new merchandise display system was specified and fitted behind the desk, forming a backdrop to the space.
