Les Ozouets Campus

The States of Guernsey

Project & design lead - Design Engine Architects - Under construction

This 11,500m2 campus is the latest project for the island. The project started on site in January 2025 and David continues to support Design Engine on the project. Phase 1 completes in 2027.

The Les Ozouets Campus’s new buildings will bring together the island’s Sixth Form Centre, the Guernsey Institute, the GTA University Centre and the Institute of Health & Social Care Studies.

This £80m Further Education campus is designed around a series of external courts, to create microclimates and protected spaces for students and staff.

Architecturally, we were keen to explore how simple building volumes could be carved and composed to define entrances, colonnades and workshops, below saw tooth roofs.

The design had to be lean, but elegant, with the facades defined by a vertical texture, layered and composed with cut surfaces.

The Les Ozouets Campus is an opportunity to create an inspirational and sustainable learning environment, that encompasses both the character of this dynamic organisation and that of the Island.
